Hello, and thanks for tuning in to my blog. today Mr. Wilhelm taught us the many transformations that graphs can take.
First we have a horizontal origin shift:
y = f(x ± a)
And then a verticle origin shift:
y = f(x) ± a
Then we moved onto expanding and compressing a function of a graph;
The Y cordinate:
y = C * f(x)
And the X cordinate:
y = f(C * x)
keep in mind the x and y intercepts will always stay the same due to the fact that they equal zero, and you cant multiply or divide zero to get anything but a zero (for now).
also ther is reflection of the x and y
y = f(-x)
and
y = -f(x)
